TH150 is an introduction to the academic study of theology, through a survey of the study of religion, scripture, and theology. Starting with reflection on the ultimate questions that are common to our human experience, this course surveys the nature and the essential elements of faith, religion, and the mystery of the divine. The heart of the course is the study of Christianity and its scriptures, the bible. Core Christian beliefs, the history and development of Christianity, spirituality, and Christian anthropology will be covered in this course. Special attention is given to the study of Jesus in the Gospels.
