This course focuses on instructing all types of learners from those who have literacy problems, the average and gifted reader. Students will explore assessments in word recognition, vocabulary, comprehension, writing and fluency for students from preK- secondary levels. A variety of instruments for the evaluation of reading problems will be administered to address specific reading components. Assessments will be derived from the course textbooks, journals, other reading texts, internet sources, and student made tests. Collaboration will deal with the analysis of testing data to determine instructional goals.
