EDD 301 in an intermediate-level course in integrating technology into the classroom. It assumes the student has basic computer literacy. This course is delivered at 3 levels:

1. Foundations - teacher candidates are exposed to basic computer/technology operations and concepts, personal and professional use of technology and application of technology instruction

2. Specialty Content Preparation - teacher candidates address the social, ethical and human issues of technology, use of productivity tools, telecommunications and information access and research, problem-solving and product development

3. Teaching Methodology - teacher candidates implement teaching methodology using technology and learn hardware/software selection, installation and maintenance.

Overall, this course is designed to introduce the student to techniques and strategies relative to an educational methodology that allows technology to be used as a tool in the learning process, consistent with curriculum objectives.
